For nearly 25 years, we at Life Science Focus have been covering the life science industry in Sweden, across the Nordics and beyond. Our journey began in 2002 as Biotech Sweden, before becoming Life Science Sweden in 2012. In 2026, Life Science Sweden and Denmark’s MedTechNews joined forces on a new platform, bringing Nordiske Medier’s journalism on life science, medtech, pharmaceuticals and biotech together under one name.

The name Life Science Focus reflects our broader outlook. While the Nordic countries remain an important part of our coverage, the life science industry is shaped by developments across Europe and around the world. Our purpose is therefore not defined by a specific region, but by our mission: to provide independent, informed journalism on the businesses, innovations and decision-makers shaping the life science industry.

We also bring the life science community together through a number of industry events each year. Our events provide a meeting place to exchange ideas, build new connections and gain insights into emerging trends, technologies and research from leading experts in academia and industry.

The events span a broad range of topics – from biologics, advanced therapies and drug development to strategic issues and collaboration across the Nordic life science ecosystem.
